Ego

When we look through the eyes of the unenlightened ego, we see lives filled with fear and not enough. When we look through the eyes of the heart and the soul, we see lives that lift us up.

Lives that lift us up in the ways that we hope for. Rather than seeing less than in life, we see life that offers more.

There is nothing in life that is not perfectly designed to awaken, restore and remind; that we are the ones we have come looking for and we are the ones we will find.

In its proper place, the enlightened ego is built to experience, observe and inform. It is the part of our Being that provides every opportunity, to individually change and transform.

Yet in each of our journeys, in a need to control, we encouraged the ego to take on a new role. A role that required the sensibilities and goals, that can only be held by the heart and the soul.

From its improper place, the unenlightened ego, has tried desperately to fulfill our request. But held in this role, to control and dominate, the ego will always fail this test. A failure that is bred in the essence of its design; for the ego cannot ever possess the knowing that lives within the divine.

The unenlightened ego sees life through a filter, through a lens that defends and protects. An unconscious filter that hinders and restricts, creating inner struggles and internal conflicts.

We can free ourselves from our unenlightened ego, when we begin to face our unconscious habits of mind. The thoughts and beliefs that have fed the unenlightened ego; that in truth have kept us deaf, dumb and blind.

Each one of us must choose for the ego’s return, to fulfill its true purpose; which is to observe and to learn. It was never intended to choose and to decide; to determine what is truth or not. This is the role for the soul and the heart; the home of divine mind.

When we choose to bring the ego to its proper place in mind, we manifest for ourselves, our true soul’s design.

We perfect ourselves through each and every experience in life; through good, bad, right and wrong. It is the enlightened ego that provides the observations, so the heart and soul may know how to respond.
