Pain
Pain is the great awakener; it leads us to what we resist. It directs us to that which we have hidden and rejected; that which has been dismissed.
The harder we try to conceal our pain, the more we bring it to life. For pain is the informant about what we resist and what creates our strife.
The elements of life that are out of agreement; the parts of self that have been denied. Pain shows us how we have lived in untruth and it shows us clearly how we have lied.
How we have lied to ourselves, resisting living our most authentic expression. Lies that have drowned out our own inner voice, leaving us hopeless, with no sense of direction.
Pain shows us the way that we have hidden ourselves, the ways we have lived in the unacceptance of who we are. Pain is the awakener that unveils what is real, so we may see clearly and precisely how we are to heal.
When we accept our pain and allow it to speak, rather than silencing it with resistance and opposition, we open ourselves to acceptance and understanding; we embrace life with a new disposition.
Acceptance is the key to resolving all pain, for pain is the signal that energy has been impeded. Whether physical, mental, emotional or spiritual, all pain seeks is to reveal what is needed.
We are the only ones that can ever give ourselves what we authentically need. Honor your pain, follow its lead and you will know precisely and perfectly just how you are to proceed.
